PAST SIMPLE
Use the Simple Past to express the idea that an action started and finished at a specific time in the past. Sometimes, the speaker may not actually mention the specific time, but they do have one specific time in mind.
FORMS
Affirmative:S+V(in the second form) or S+/ed(for regular verbs)
For Example:I drank a milkshake
Interogative:Did+S+V(in the first form)
For Example:Did you eat this cake?
Negative:S+Did+NOT+V(in the first form)
For Example:She didn't eat the pizza.
ADVERBS OF TIME:last year/month/week/day,yesterday,ago.
