Acţiunea este plasată la 30 de ani după evenimentele ce s-au desfăşurat în trilogia Killzone. Cumva, forțați de împrejurări, cele două facțiuni rivale - Helghast și Vektans - trăiesc alături într-un oraș futurist ce este divizat de un mare zid, lucru ce m-a trimis rapid cu gândul la perioada 1947-1991 și la Războiul Rece.
